The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and five years or more in oil technology including high temperature downhole electronics design and knowledge of IPC-A-610 qualification/certification. Instrumentation & Controls Engineering Technician needed for a two months contract opportunity to assist in the start-up of a chemical process pilot plant. The primary focus of this position will be the configuration and operation of instrumentation and control devices such as transmitters, control valves, PLCs, and HMIs. The right candidate must have five years of experience as an I&C technician troubleshooting chemical process instrumentation such as thermocouples, flow/pressure transmitters, control valves, gas/liquid analyzers and similar. Skills in the area of industrial electrical equipment such as switchgears, motor starters/controls, 480v and 120v power distribution systems, and lighting are desirable. I&E Facilities Engineer needed for a contract opportunity with an oil and gas company active in the Eagle Ford. The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in instrumentation or electrical engineering and a minimum of five years of experience supporting a production operations team in the field. In this role the right candidate will function as the project lead for I&E within the engineering, construction, and maintenance team to identify and manage modification projects as well as trouble shoot operational issues. The assignment’s responsibilities include ensuring projects are executed on time and within budget, troubleshooting of electrical equipment which mean instrumentation, VFDs, PLCs, motors, junction boxes and similar, and ensuring general availability of I&E engineering support during a project’s construction and commissioning phases.
